Our Technology
Grants Pass, OR

Viewing a patient's digital x-rays at Robinson Orthodontics in Grants Pass, ORAt our core, Dr. Jon Robinson, DMD MS and the team at Robinson Orthodontics work hard to deepen our relationship with our patients and partners to support their evolving dental needs. Like everything else in life, orthodontics is constantly evolving with new trends and subtle technological improvements. Our team has its pulse on the latest advancements in orthodontics to ensure that you get the best possible experience.

Our organization is committed to modern approaches to dental services. Below is a list of tools that we use to help perform specialist procedures.

3D Images & Printer

We use 3D imaging and printers to bring new levels of clinical performance and efficiency to the table. The technology allows our specialists to scan patient's mouths and create a 3D image of their teeth and gums. The designing of their teeth can be done with the help of CAD software, which can then be used to conduct a suitable orthodontic appliance with the help of a printer.

This allows us to digitize the impressions of a patient's mouth and also gives us the possibility of designing custom made orthodontics based on their highly specific morphology.

ITero Intraoral 3D Scanner And ProMax 3D Imaging

Robinson Orthodontics is fully committed to expanding its digital journey, and to this end, we have integrated several technological solutions to our workflow, including the cutting edge ITero Intraoral 3D scanner.

This device has been used to improve over 15 million restorations and has worked on everything from bridges and crowns to dentures and implants. Some of its main uses include the ability to inspect interproximal caries above the gingiva and obtain a detailed picture of how a patient's bite is functioning. The device also lets us combine scans to visualize changes in a patient's condition over time. ProMax 3D imaging is quick and efficient, allowing us to capture a detailed picture of the maxilla and mandible. This makes it an excellent choice for full arch dental 3D imaging. It is ideal for capturing the smallest details, empowering our dentists with precise diagnostics and treatment planning.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays are extremely effective at helping us produce a digital radiographic image of patients without exposing them to excessive radiation. While traditional x-rays are considered to be very safe, digital x-rays produce 80% less radiation, providing you with much needed peace of mind. In terms of effectiveness, digital x-rays are effective at detecting tiny imperfections and fractures in the teeth, making them superior to traditional x-rays.

SureSmile Technology and TRIOS Digital Impression Scanning

SureSmile technology allows us to monitor your progress with clear aligners at various aspects of your journey and ensure that the treatment goes as planned. At its core, SureSmile technology utilizes robots to customize your archwire which will help your teeth move into their desired positions. We also use the highly accurate TRIOS 3D scanner to quickly and efficiently take color impressions of your mouth. The device allows us to produce a full arch scan in just 60 seconds, making it truly revolutionary.
